Website Traffic but No Sales or Calls? First Find Out Which Problem You Have

Getting more people to your website can help when not enough people are finding your business.

But more traffic does not automatically mean more sales, calls, bookings, or quote requests.

If people are already visiting your website, it may be worth looking at what happens after they arrive before spending more money to bring in even more visitors.

Are you solving a traffic problem or a website-route problem?

This is the big question.

If very few people are visiting your website, you may genuinely need more visibility.

But if people are already arriving and the expected calls, bookings, quote requests, or purchases are not happening, the problem may be somewhere after the visitor arrives.

That is why it helps to separate two questions:

Are enough people reaching the website?

and

What happens to interested people once they get there?

More advertising mainly addresses the first question.

Before spending more to increase traffic, make sure the second one has been checked too.

Follow the website the way a customer does

Business owners know their websites extremely well. That can make it difficult to notice places where a new visitor might hesitate, take an unexpected detour, or reach a point where they cannot continue.

Avora Route Check is designed to look at that part of the experience.

You choose what you want customers to be able to do—such as buy, book, request a quote, call, contact you, or sign up—and we review the routes they encounter while trying to get there.

You receive a personally reviewed report showing what worked, what may need attention, where we could not continue, and specific things to review.

What does Route Check look at?

Route Check follows the public parts of your website from the perspective of someone trying to complete the action that matters to your business.

Depending on your website and the goal you choose, we may review:

  • Where customers are likely to start and whether it is clear how to continue.
  • Buttons, links, and navigation that lead toward buying, booking, requesting a quote, calling, or contacting you.
  • Important information along the way that may help someone decide whether to continue.
  • Unexpected steps or detours that send the visitor somewhere they may not expect.
  • Places where the route stops or where we cannot continue using the public website.
  • Outside services or handoffs, such as a separate booking, payment, or scheduling system, when they are visible from the website.

The goal is not to find something wrong just for the sake of finding it.

If a route works well, the report says that too.

What happens if the route is clear?

Sometimes the website route is not the problem.

Customers may be able to find the product or service, understand what to do, and reach the expected next step without an obvious obstacle.

That is useful information.

It means you can look beyond the website route and consider other possibilities, such as whether the right people are reaching the site, whether the offer matches what they want, or whether another part of the sales process needs attention.

Route Check is not designed to claim that every lack of sales or calls is caused by the website.

It is designed to help answer a narrower question:

What does an interested customer actually encounter when they try to do what you want them to do?

What you receive

Each Route Check covers one website and up to five customer routes.

The report includes evidence from the review, what worked, what may be worth reviewing, places we could not verify, and specific suggestions based on what we found.

We review public website pages and visible customer actions.

We do not make purchases, book appointments, place calls, create accounts, or submit customer-facing forms during the review.

Before you spend more to get more visitors

If your website is barely getting any traffic, attracting more visitors may be exactly what you need.

But if people are already coming to the site and not taking the action you expect, increasing traffic may simply send more people through the same experience.

Before increasing your advertising budget, it may be worth checking the route first.
